The Stradom House, Autograph Collection is a new gem of Krakow

by Oliver Lind, Hotel Researcher
Located in the heart of Krakow, between the city's Jewish quarter and old town, this recently launched hotel is set within a meticulously converted monastery and church dating back to the 14th century. It offers a unique blend of heritage charm and contemporary design.

Drawing inspiration from the esteemed Soho House in London, ADC Atelier crafted the Stradom House, Autograph Collection design. Local art pieces adorn the walls, vintage furnishings sourced from the region harmonize with modern design elements, and modern rugs inspired by ancient Polish tapestries adorn the floors. This seamless integration of past and present extends to the 125 guest rooms and suites, each meticulously designed to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Kraków and Poland.

Among the standout accommodations is the Chapel Loft, a sprawling 155-square-meter suite boasting a kitchen, lavish dining with a grand piano, and a luxurious bathroom and master bedroom. Vintage and modern furnishings, bespoke textiles, and restored frescoes grace each room, offering a sophisticated and inviting ambiance that blends the best of the old and the new.

The heart of social activity at Stradom House is Hedwig's Club bar, housed within the former chapel and characterized by its awe-inspiring domed ceiling and ornate chandelier. The hotel boasts two distinctive dining venues: the Mediterranean-inspired Gaia restaurant and the fine-dining seafood haven John Dory.

Descending below ground level, guests are greeted by the serene oasis of the Sól Spa, a subterranean spa designed in collaboration with Alexandra Soveral. The special highlights include cave-like treatment rooms, a fitness center, and a 20-meter swimming pool. From salt-infused therapies to a range of wellness facilities, including saunas, hydromassage showers, and a sound room, the spa offers a holistic retreat inspired by Krakow's rich salt mining heritage.

The Stradom House, Autograph Collection is where history, art, gastronomy, and wellness converge to offer guests an unforgettable experience that celebrates the essence of Krakow's cultural tapestry.
